Mysore City Corporation:

The civic administration of the city is managed by the Mysore City Corporation, The corporation is headed by a mayor, who is assisted by commissioners and council members. Under Mysore City Corporation’s leadership, the city of Mysuru has won the “Cleanest city” award for two consecutive years in a row.

Directorate of Urban and Transport (DULT):

The DULT is functioning under the Urban Development Department of Government of Karnataka. The Directorate is responsible for overseeing all the urban land transport initiatives in Urban/ Local Planning Areas of Karnataka. Karnataka is the only state in India to have an exclusive Directorate of Urban Land Transport (DULT). The directorate was set up in 2007 by the State Government close on the heels of the National Urban Transport policy coming into force, to coordinate planning and implementation of urban transport matters in the State. DULT is the state level monitoring agency for implementation of the Public Bicycle Sharing System in Mysuru.

World Bank:

The World Bank, headquartered in Washington DC is a vital source of financial and technical assistance to developing countries around the world.The World Bank, Group-Global Environment Facility (GEF) Program is one of the institution’s largest and longest standing trust-funded programs. GEF grants directly support actions to combat major environmental issues such asclimate change, loss of biodiversity, polluted international waters, land degradation and desertification, and persistent organic pollutants, as well as stimulate green growth.The implementation of PBS system in Mysore is partly funded by the World Bank GEF Grant.
